1. Unlimited, for real hiring
Every Otter plan includes unlimited users and unlimited candidates. That's meant for genuine hiring by one organisation: your own team, your own jobs and the people who apply to them. Almost every customer will never think about this page.
2. What isn't fair use
- Reselling Otter, or running it as a service for other companies' hiring, without a written agreement with us.
- Scraping candidate data, or using Otter to build or enrich databases of people.
- Bulk-parsing resumes for other organisations, or feeding Otter's AI with documents that aren't real applications.
- Automated traffic that exists only to use Otter's AI or storage.
3. Generous monthly thresholds
AI features have soft thresholds per workspace per calendar month. They're set well above normal use, and they aren't limits.
| Plan | AI resume parses | OCR pages | AI calls (all features) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 1,000 | 300 | 2,000 |
| Growth | 5,000 | 1,500 | 10,000 |
| Scale | 25,000 | 7,500 | 50,000 |
Scale customers can agree higher thresholds in their contract.
4. We talk to you first
If a workspace goes past a threshold, nothing stops working. We'll contact the workspace owner to understand what's happening and agree a way forward, such as a plan that fits. We only restrict a workspace without talking to you first if it puts candidates, other customers or the service at risk, as described in our Terms of Service.
Separately, Otter has short-term safety limits (for example, a daily cap on AI calls per workspace). When one is reached, resumes are still added and read with Otter's rule-based parser, and AI picks up again the next day.
